2006 was a very successful year for the twin brothers. Both projects, with Elena Obrastsova and Michael Pletnev, were very much enjoyed both by the audience and the newspapers (see press release). This encouraged both musicians to continue working together and two new projects arose.
- On the 16th of april 2007 Mikhail Pletnev is going to conduct a concert in Moscow for his own fifties anniversary. This concert will include only works written by the conductor himself. The Fantasia Helvetica, composed and dedicated to the twin brothers Sascha and Mischa, was specially requested by Mikhail Pletnev as one of his major works being performed in this concert. Sascha and Mischa Manz are very honored to be the soloists of this concerto for two pianos at this very special occasion. The concert is going to be directly transmitted on several TV Channels throughout whole Russia.
- The world famous Singer Elena Obrastsova was very fond of the twin brothers and ask them to accompany her on a concert in Zurich on the 23rd of September. The location will be the small Tonhalle hall and the program will contain music by Hahn, Tosti and several old Russian poems. Sascha and Mischa Manz are very happy to have the opportunity to play again with this amazing musician in their hometown.
